Isaiah, Part19 | The Consequences of Rebellion
Summary
Following the ways of the world leads to utter destruction, while heeding the word of God brings prosperity. The prophecy in Isaiah chapter 7, concerning an impending attack on Judah by Aram and Israel, reassures King Ahaz and his people to remain calm and trust in the Lord's protection and the fulfillment of His promises, as ultimately, "Emanuel" which means "God with us" will prevail. The practical takeaway is to believe in God's word and to not fear earthly threats, for God's plans will stand.
